of the 1st General Assembly of the proposed Fellowship "Rowing"

- Welcome
Hartmut Jaeger welcomes the present friends
and their families on behalf of the organizers.
As a guest Christof Orning is present who will support us during the first meeting.
Stephan Hölz is keeping the minutes.
- Status of member-recruitment
So far, 25 members have registered. The distribution to the districts is as follows:
District 1860 21
1570 (Netherlands) 1
1790 (France) 1
1870 1
1950 1
Thereby the conditions for the establishment of the Fellowship are given in this regard. The
number of 25 members is in the range of the non binding determined size
The requirement that the members belong to at least three different countries
is also fulfilled.
- Constitution
The draft of the constitution was part of the invitation and available for all members on
the website of the proposed Fellowship.
Hartmut Benning applies to replace the term "spouse" in § 2 sec. 2 with
"family member". Hartmut Jaeger explains that this wording is also included in the
sample statutes of Rotary International.
Decision: unanimously
The new wording reads as follows:
Members can be Rotarians or Rotaractors, family members or partners
of Rotarians or Rotaractors, who are interested in rowing.
- Contributions
The determination of the amount of the membership fee is done with an unanimous decision to amount 20, - EUR pa
starting with foundation.
- Elections
As all requirements for establishing except board elections are met,
Wolfgang Litzenburger requests to hold Board elections at today's
meeting and to amend the agenda to this extent.
Decision: unanimously
There are proposed and elected:
President: Hartmut Jaeger (RC Mainz): unanimously
Secretary: Stephan Hölz (RC Mainz): unanimously
Coordinator: Wolfgang Litzenburger (RC Mainz): unanimously
Treasurer: Wolfgang Tenhaeff (RC Simmern-Hunsrück): unanimously
On proposal of Stephan Hölz Dirk Jäger (RC Heidelberg) is unanimously elected as
Vice-President
. Those in attendance declare their acceptance of the election.
The approval of Dirk Jäger will be obtained by Hartmut Jaeger.
- Further procedure
Hartmut Jaeger will submit the necessary documents and applications to Rotary International
and apply for recognition as a Fellowship.
- Others
To attract new members, events at other places are necessary.
Rotarians from Mannheim have already declared their readiness to organize an event next year.

The official part of the meeting ends at 10.45 clock.
Then Wolfgang Litzenburger explains the subsequent drive to "Rheinblick".
The departure takes place in light rain, which soon fades.
