IFoRR Rowing Tour 2026: Mecklenburg Lake District

17. Jun 2026 - 21. Jun 2026
IFoRR-Wanderfahrt 2026: Mecklenburgische Seenplatte

The area of this touring rowing trip extends from the southern shore of Lake Müritz and the Müritz National Park to the north of Rheinsberg. The waters of Mecklenburg's Small Lake District are the product of the Ice Age. Hundreds of large, small, and tiny lakes between Mirow and Neustrelitz are nestled between wooded hills and open fields. It encompasses the countless lakes southeast of Lake Müritz, often connected by small canals and streams. This "Land of a Thousand Lakes" is the epitome of enchanting nature, clear and clean water, and a true El Dorado for all water sports enthusiasts.

The starting point for the rowing trip is Mirow, on the lake of the same name. Mirow can be reached by train from Berlin via Neustrelitz in 1.5 hours. By car, Mirow is easily accessible via the Autobahn and the B198.

Wir wohnen im Hotel Alte Schlossbrauerei. Die Boote werden geliehen vom Ruderverein Blau-Weiß in Mirow.
