- Welcome
- Approval of the agenda: unanimously without amendment
- Approval of the minutes of the last MgV of 09.11.24: unanimously without comment
- Report of the Executive Board:
The time since the last general meeting was dominated by the last travelling trip in Brandenburg in June. Back in winter, the previous President of the IFoRR was thanked at a Captain's Dinner for establishing the Fellowship and his work over the past few years.
The establishment of a new chapter in Croatia, which has started with an impressive number of members, is particularly pleasing.
The Fellowship currently has a total of 96 members, 21 of whom have joined over the past 12 months. One Rotaractor has left the Fellowship.
The members of the Fellowship come from 14 different countries, 4 of which are outside Europe (Egypt, Argentina, Australia and the USA).
- Report of the treasurer (Wolfgang T.):
The current cash balance as at 15/07/2025 is €3,685.32. Since 1 July 2024, only bank charges of €46.80 have been incurred, while income from membership fees amounted to €875.98.
In addition, the Rotary Deutschland Gemeindienst e.V. account still holds €8,450.84 in donations from the IFoRR, which are to be earmarked for rowing projects in Ukraine. The Executive Board will draw up a proposal for this in consultation with Paul Geisendörfer - Paul made this fundraising possible with his campaign together with his team and the Fellowship.
- Discharge of the Executive Board at the request of Jochen Blum: unanimously.
- Short introduction Chapter Croatia (Željko):
Founding of the chapter with already 12! members, most of them from several Rotary clubs in Zagreb. Already very active, with many members rowing several times a week. The aim is to expand the chapter with additional members and to offer a Rotary rowing training programme for this purpose. Rowing events such as joint training, regattas and travelling trips are also planned. The local rowing area is the Danube.
- Report on the "Brandenburg" hiking trip (Dorothée and Wolfgang L.)
16 participants took part in the "Brandenburg" hiking trip, which had the Havel lakes as its destination. In addition to a fantastic land programme, the beautiful scenery was more than inspiring, but the crew and chief organiser Wolfgang had to be very flexible in their planning and implementation: the weather god had his own, rather windy ideas! (see report with photos https://iforr.org/iforr-wanderfahrt-brandenburg-havelseen-2025-eine-windige-angelegenheit/)
Three different destinations were put to the vote for the next hiking trip (Ammersee + Lake Starnberg / Lake Constance / Mecklenburg Lake District), with a majority in favour of the Mecklenburg Lake District in June 2026. Details will follow as soon as the tour has been planned in more detail.
- Miscellaneous
The Fellowship will be 10 years old next year. We are looking for ideas on how we can celebrate this "festively" and include all our members.
